What is the difference between an upload and a download?1/27/10
Almost everyday people upload and download things to their computer. Whether it an laptop notebook or an computer. They probably want to upload pictures and music to their i pod or phone. Or they probably want to download pictures pictures and music to their i pod or phone.
Mainly the difference between upload and download, is that one of them you can put or add things on. With downloading things you have to probably get from a website or something. But you have to be careful. Because you don't want you computer to get a virus. But uploading is not that harmful to your computer.
Sometimes I may upload things thing to my phone. Things like pictures or music. And I do that occasionally. But downloading I do that frequently. To download movies or video games.

Why is your online reputation so important? How is this similar to your reputation at school? How does your reputation effect the way people treat you?1/20/10
I can't really answer this question. Because I have no type of internet interaction. But if I did have some type of internet interaction I would have a good reputation,

Do you think that having Internet access is mainly for rich people? Will poor people be disadvantaged? Or will Internet access help poor people? Why? 1/8/10 M.I.U
no having internet access is not mainly for rich people because people who aren't rich still use the internet and use it like anyone other person would . poor people wouldn't be at a disadvantage because they still have ways they can use the internet and the internet .

Do you think that some people spend too much time on the Internet and does this stop them from seeing their friends? Or does the Internet give them more access to their friends? Why?1/7/09
Yes I do think that people spend too much time time on the internet. To me they still see their friends, because you don't have to be stuck to the computer desk. That's my interpretation.

Well, there I was Saturday at BestBuy, colliding with technology. My wife and I had decided to get a satellite radio for Christmas. Looked easy enough. We’d been in there once before, looking at several racks of “satellite ready” radios. Seemed all we needed to do was pick one out and go.

How do you think technology effects societies values? 12/16/09 M.I.U
Mass media plays a crucial role in forming and reflecting public opinion, connecting the world to individuals and reproducing the self-image of society. Critiques in the early-to-mid twentieth century suggested that media weaken or delimit the individual's capacity to act autonomously — sometimes being ascribed an influence reminiscent of the telescreens of the dystopian novel 1984. Mid 20th-century empirical studies, however, suggested more moderate effects of the media.

Do you think that technology has changed society? Give one example.12/15/09
I believe the benefits provided by social network sites such as Facebook have made us better off as a society and as individuals, and that, as they continue to be adopted by more diverse populations, we will see an increase in their utility. Anecdotal evidence of positive outcomes from these technologies — such as political activities organized via Facebook or jobs found through LinkedIn — is well-known, but now a growing corpus of academic research on social networks sites supports this view as well.
